  • The StreemTech Blog

Well Hello there. Thanks for clicking on that nicely crafted link.

If it was not obvious, this is the blog page for StreemTech. That is, this is where I (Jeffrey Koehler, aka Deefdragon) write and ramble about things both StreemTech related and not StreemTech related.

This particular page is the landing page (at time of writing), but also the first blog post I wrote. Its as much a test of what I can do with what I have built up so far as it is of anything else.

    Goals

My goals for this blog are both many and completely empty. There are several things I could DO with the blog, but at this point I don’t have any of them solidified. I may attempt to do weekly update posts, or I may simply rant about different topics, or I may post when I do cool StreemTech stuff.

If anything, the biggest thing I need to do is update the theme because, as nice as the 2025 default theme is, its still the 2025 default theme. Don’t be surprised if I make something of that later.

    Technical Details

Might as well get into the technical details of this blog. To I’m sure surprise of no one, this is a WordPress site, with a few specific plugins installed. The two key ones are a basic Oauth plugin that allows me to login to the site with my standard login tooling, Authelia (and prevents random individuals from attempting to do so) as well as Jetpack, the “Wordpress LLC Power Plugin”, which is doing a number of things, including social posting (If you followed the links from my socials, that’s how those were made), and allowing me to write my blog posts using markdown (Look mom, code syntax)

The WordPress instance itself is hosted on my Kubernetes cluster, as is the mysql DB. Both have volumes that are backed up remotely daily and weekly for my own sanity.
